Default Strut Tower Brace

hey guys in addition to ordering headers and x pipe this week i wanted to add a tower brace for a little extra handling. i was looking at the steeda brace on AM. it looks like it is resting directly on top of the engine how much clearence is there? has anyone had any problems with these? i have the cover on the engine also.

I heard that the tower brace was just for looks. Do u think it'll help much with handling?

Not to take anything away from AM but why not go for the FRPP Strut tower brace? Looks very similar to the steeda but it's Ford OEM (same one that goes on the bullitt) Cost is about the same and it clears the engine cover with more than enough to spare.

In the twisties it does stiffen things up. Even with the unibody construction of the Mustang there is still a lack of support for the strut towers built into the fenders and it allows some torsional motion in tight or wide sweeping turns without a strut tower brace

if you dont have the engine cover you have nothing to worry about. it will clear the motor and the hood. if you have the engine cover you are limited to the braces that will clear it. i have the BMR one, i had to lower my engine cover by a 1/4 inch in the back. i only have a 1/8 inch of clearance.

i got mine basically for looks. i didnt notice a difference in handling.
