OIL: I change mine every 3K, however I don't bother with synthetic since I wasn't go FI. Now that I am going FI, I am going to put synthetic in there and change it every 5K.

TRANS: Depending on what fluid I use, I would say every 45-50K.

Well the manual transmission uses ATF fluid as well so that doesn't really clarify anything.

Of course there are other reasons than just contaminants and wear particles in the tranny fluid. There are also additive packages that may be depleted and the base stock may start to break down.

Since I don't drive much I typically change my oil in 4 month intervals, at about 2k miles.. you guys think that is appropriate? It is my daily driver though..

Some people have really short commutes and don't have to do a lot of travel to get errands done and what-not.

During the week, I put less than 8 miles a day to and from work on my GT, and on the weekends I have two other vehicles to choose from depending on what the purpose is. If it wasn't for a few short weekend trips and three longer ones I'd have less than 5,000 miles on the car in the year I've had it.
