Yea i was kinda leaning with the JBA's. I know that the HP/TQ gains are not as good as long tubes but i dont have alot of money to throw around. What will this do to the sound of the exhaust.

Vasman, do not give input on a topic you have no knowledge about. I just installed JBA shorties on my car this week and the power increase is awesome. The sound increase at WOT is also very impressive. I also saw in increase of 3-4mpg on my trip home yesterday. They are my favorite mod so far and I would definately recommend them. I feel like they are better than the BBKs because of the smoothness of the tubing on the JBAs. The BBKs have very sharp bends in the tubing which is why I think they do not make much power at higher rpms. Here is a video of my car with the JBA shorty headers and corsa axlebacks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-zFe...eature=channel

shorties make good power, just not as much as long tubes. I have MAC long tubes and they are the best mod I have ever done. Shorties can net you 12-15 rwhp & tq to the wheels along with the new sound; L/T will net you 18-22 rwhp & rwtq and also give great sound. But with shorties you can reuse your current midpipe, with long tubes you need a new one.

I think that is where a lot of the difference in power between shorties and long tubes comes from. With shorties, you still have the catted midpipe. With longtubes, most people put on an offroad midpipe. Most people on this forum agree that an offroad midpipe will net you ~10 rwhp which is around the difference between shorty and long tube gains. Just my opinion...

dyno proven difference between an off road x pipe and the factory catted h pipe is only 6 rwhp and that is up over 4000 rpm
