well, usually one would get an ipod for their own personal use. you made it seem as if it's a mod of some sort haha

I just get tired of making CDs and switching them around and trying to remember what songs are where. Having them all in one place and having playlists is so much better.

yeah totally. i was devastated when my ipod broke. now i have to listen to my girls ipod. good thing we're into the same music, not including some britney, madonna, and other **** thrown in the otherwise very heavy/fast mix haha.

Yep, when you use the headphone jack, you control the output volume. When you use the dock connector, it's optimized already, so no volume control through the iPod is available. You do receive much better sound through the dock connector, which is nice.

So is there a dock connecter that will then go to the aux plug in the console?

I've always heard those types increase noise due to the power running inside the same wiring. It makes sense.

At the same time, the regular USB iPod dock cable doesn't seam to introduce noise hooked up to my Pioneer deck.

Do you notice any noise from the power?
