Hey!! You snuck that one by me Cam!! I never noticed or remember you saying that. Ok...back to the painters for ME!! Ok, maybe not.....LOL...but I wish I would have done that too now, since I have absolutely NO plans on putting one on.

Great idea cam...quite honestly it doesnt surprise me you did that. I really think your car stands out from the crowd anyway and its the little things that really accomplish that. So you doing it really comes as no surprise.

Is the kit worth the price since I have to get HIDs headlamps, which like I said before are close to $700 each?

IMO, it depends on your budget and how badly you want the conversion on your car....I know it doesn't sound like much, but another $700 on top of what everything else costs can't be easy to swallow!

Good Luck!

Why not get a HID conversion kit ($190) and just convert them over? There is no need to pay that outragous OEM price.

I already have the OE HIDs on my car, just when I put in the GT500 ones, they have to be HIDs as well if I want to keep that look. Unfortunately ford doesn't just sell just the headlamp, they have to sell the whole unit which includes the bulb, housing, and ballast.

The good news is that I can sell my other ones back and maybe get some of the money back from the conversion.

On another note, if you use the reflectors from a standard halogen housing it will cause too much glare and issues to other drivers. I was pulled over for it when I was younger, I should know...(plus other infractions such as speeding and racing on the highway)

It won't be, but if I sell the other ones, maybe I can get my money back - who knows.

I calculated all the prices including the paint and it comes out to ~$3100 (add some leeway as a just in case) :/
