Default Took The stangs in for Tranny flush

My 05 V6 has needed a tranny flush and fill for almost two months, i do all the maintainence on my stang and my dads because i have full acess to a shop, but our shop doesnt have the Transmission flush and fill machine Ford uses.

As im sure many of you have noticed, we dont have a dipstick! so to flush and fill the auto tranny a machine has to be hooked up to the transmission lines coming from the radiator. This machine sucks all 13 quarts out of the tranny and Torque Converter and re fills it.

so my friend and i drove my car upto my dads office, got his keys, my friend drove my V6 and of course, i drove the GT. I smiled the whole way to the stealership!

We got the air bag recall fixed and tranny flushed on both cars, i was actually pretty impressed with my experience, im only 18 but my parents have taken their cars into other places to get them serviced But at This ford garage (KEN GRODY, CARLSBAD) i was really impresed/

The Recall was of course free but i paid $150 per stang for the flush and fill and it made a hige difference!

i suggest you get yours done

What do you mean by "huge difference"? How many miles on your car?

I've done one annually to my expedition and ranger, but yet to do it with my stang...on the flip side it only has 9K miles on it...

Uhhm...I took mine into a local trans shop and they only changed about 6 quarts...does that mean it's half empty right now?!

I would think it means they only drained and refilled without flushing. I don't have my manual in front of me, so I don't know what Ford recommends. On my Honda Odyssey, they recommend changing (draiing & refilling) at 50k as opposed to a flush. This does "Sweeten" the additives and helps the base oil.
