Default First time in Philly... Security question

Well I had a little time off so I decided to grab my girlfriend and head up to the Hard Rock Cafe up in Philly. Getting there we had only a couple of parking choices and not being from the city I figured a little gated area with a guard would do. Well I had no idea that I had to fork over the keys to my pride and joy. As immature as it is of me, NO ONE pumps my gas or holds my keys... that ranks up there with terrorism in my book. It was hard to enjoy my dinner and the time with my girlfriend because I was worried about not having a car when we exited the cafe.

So I have decided to add a Kill switch. I have wired them up in kit cars (carb and efi) and they seem to be a good choice.

For our cars do they require power at all times to keep the pcm cycling? What is the draw? For a 1987 lx based ffr cobra we bridged the terminals with a 5A fuse and decided to do a breaker instead because it was a pain to crawl in the trunk of a show car and replace the fuse. That would work for the 05+ as well right? Im not going to be dragging the car so I do not care for NHRA rules. I would like your thoughts on the feasibility of the set up.

I know if they really want the car they will get it... but I want them to attract a ton of attention trying to get it and stall them as long as possible.
thoughts?

Thanks
Matt

I feel your pain, I won't go to those lots, they need your keys caue they move cars constantly. They park them tight together touching bumpers at times. Next time you come up leave the stang at my house in south jersey & take the train to the city, you will enjoy your dinner alot more.

As far as kill switch maybe fuel pump?

I have a rule, I don't park it where I can't see it.

I do as well, but I don't have any windows at work, so I worry about it all day. Thats why I park far, far away and walk an extra 2 minutes or so than everyone else :P

If you have the passive alarm system you can have a key made but don't have it programmed for the alarm system. The key will open the door but it will not start the car, that way you can leave your key with them and not worry about them starting your car.

Why just in Philly (where I was born and raised, btw...)? ANYWHERE I leave my car I get the shakes until I can get back in her. That's why she's not my DD.

You guys are missing the point, its not a Philly thing its the way they run the private lots there and I'm sure in other large cities. They park cars on every square inch they can. They may move your car 4 times when your gone, a key that won't start he car is useless.
