So, I'm going thru the same thing trying to pass inspection in TX. The Catalyst, O2 Sensor, and O2 Sensor Htr all showed NOT READY. Luckily, the guy didn't charge me for the inspection. So going by what you guys are saying i'm gonna try and return it to stock tune. But what about the BBK intake? should i put the stock one on?

 

Having the rear O2's turned off shouldn't effect the monitors from reading. It's not really turning them off, but rather having them read good all the time, correct me if I'm wrong. But i passed inspection in my old car last year with the rear O2's turned off and all monitors were fine.

 

Interesting.... Well I'm gonna give Doug a call tomorrow and see if I can get an answer from him, because I'll either re-load a different tune, or keep on driving. I'll let you know what he says

 

There probably is a specific drive cycle that will get everything into 'ready' mode in the least amount of time/miles. I know for absolute fact that Chevy does with their OBDII because I had to run a car through it after emissions repair before the car could get re-inspected. But even mfr-specified drive cycles are not guaranteed to get everything to ready mode in one shot. One car took three days (two overnight cold soaks) to finally get right.

For now, you'll just have to keep driving it, and be sure to let it FULLY cool down at least a couple of times.

Every time you load/reload a tune, you're right back to square one on getting the car into ready mode, so frantically swapping tunes in the hopes that one of them will work a little quicker isn't likely to work.

Yes your rear O2 sensors are turned off; that will give your the 3 not ready's you have listed.
You can get the tune modified or run with your stock tune for a couple of days.
(Yeah, OBDII inspections are a PITA.)

 

I have the Bama tune and have the exact same 3 not ready's. It's not that the sensors are turned off....it's the tuners way of speeding up the computer (by turning off some ports). So I returned to stock....drove 100 miles. Still had the Catalyst not ready. The 2 "O2 not ready's" went to the "ready" state, but I got a "Evap sys" not ready. This time I'll be driving it for around 300 miles before the re-check.

 

im in oregon and had the same problem..i took it in to the dealer and somehow they got it fixed without me having to drive a million miles..lmao..but they also did it without changing my tune..

 

Well just to let everybody know, its the tune. They said because I dont have any mods, its easy for me just to load the stock tune and get my inspection. He then said if i were to get more mods i would get the inspection friendly tune to use when that time of the year rolls around. Thanks for everybodys input!

 

After loading the stock tune, you'll still have to drive it enough to get it to 'ready' mode, though.
