Default State inspection

Hey guys, I'm running a 93 race tune from BAMA, and am having some issues passing Mass state inspection. I re-loaded a tune to correct for a different tire, and have driven about 600+ since the reload and the inspection machine says the following are not ready:

Catalyst Monitor
02 Sensor Monitor
02 Sensor Heater Monitor

I emaied BAMA on thursday of last week, and still havent gotten a responce so I figured I'd throw out the question to you guys.

Thanks

I'm not familiar with mass state inspection, but i'm pretty sure your talking about emissions, and not state. But for emissions the monitors which read the sensors all need to be set. When you re-loaded a tune your monitors were all reset and need driving time to get set to normal. Basically you need to drive the car longer as long as its not a check engine light problem. Usualy it can take between 100-500 miles, but it can take longer on some vehicles.

Take it back to stock tune and drive it at least 50 miles. From what I've read, most of the aftermarket tunes won't pass inspection. Brenspeed gave me a tune that works with my CAI and passes inspection in Texas. I don't know if BAMA has a tune like that.

Yes it is the emissions part, but I've looked at what the OBD-II needs to have everything ready and find it hard to believe that it's still not ready for inspection. I have no issue driving it more , but do you have any tips on how to drive it?

Thanks again

I have the xcharger tune from BAMA and mine passes Texas inspection. Not sure why most of the tuners turn off the rear O2 sensors.

Thats what I was wondering, if maybe the 02's are turned off, even though i have stock exhaust. If they were that would explain why they arnt ready yet, and like I said i contacted BAMA alomost a week ago and havent gotten an answer.

Basically there's no certain way the car needs to be driven. Just drive it, the monitors will reset themselves. It shouldn't be the tune at all. So just go cruisin.

I have a 91 race tune from bama and im positive they turn off the 02 sensors. Now i do have a offroad x and you dont but i would call bamachips and ask if they turn off the 02 sensors for race tunes.

Most likely its the rear o2 sensors turned off. Doug has a way he can set the tune up so that it will pass and I saw a member on another forum posted Doug was having trouble with his internet right now so that could explain why it is taking so long to get a response.
