I ordered my 05 March 5th.... Dont you think thats early enough to get one?
I get a call last week to call the dealer on my order that should be in on 7/6/05....
Ford pushed all the X-Plan's to the back of the list and stopped producing I was told..

So, because my company does MEGA business with ford, I get to go to the end of the line?

I have a fealing there are a LOT of people in the next 30 days who will get that notification.

Ford took WAY more orders then they can product cars, and they did warn us that some of the cars weren't going to be built. I myself, was very nervous as I ordered mine on March 1st and so was in the wrelm of getting hit with one of those. I was just lucky that my dealer was strong on the allocation list and so I was able to get my car.

Speaking of dealers, allocations and stuff... 05BlueGT - Did either of your "orders" produce a car?

 

That's too bad Lubricant. I know how you feel., I placed my order March 9th and just to be on the safe side, placed another order with wnother dealer April 20th. Luckily, the first oder is being built next week. I never heard back form the other dealer.

I ordered mine the second week of April, and it came in the third week of May!

Talk about my dealership having some pull. 6 weeks from order to delivery, just insane. Specially so late in the production.

My second 2005 almost came in before my first one was an offically total.

 

That sux man. Just for giggles I checked on my original ordered vehicle that I ordered X plan back in mid Feburary. The salesman says it still hasn't arrived yet.

Good luck with whatever you decide on buying. Too bad that GM plan doesn't work for the Vette.

 

Ford didn't push your order back, your dealer pushed your order back so they can get more money in the short term with their full-paying customers. Your dealer controls priority with a code, typically between 10-99, a lower number is better.

 

If you decide not to go with the Stang, chances are you're going to regret it everytime you see one pass you by on the road. I waited six months from order to delivery. I came very close to buying an RX-8 but couldn't find myself to do it. Glad I waited because now I enjoy every minute on the car....... right now the car is in the shop getting mods put in. Feels even nicer.

She's worth the wait....

 

Hope you weren't considering using the GM discount for a Corvette. Unfortunately they aren't extending the offer to the C6
