Default 305/45/18????

Don't know what to do here. I seem some people running them saying it's OK, but to me they just don't SEEM to be able to fit. I have Steeda lowering springs (1.25 in the rear), adjustable panhard, adjustable lower control arms, BMR relocation brackets, Tockico adjustables. I run Nitto 305/35/18's now and they fit, but I don't get any traction with them. Well, not as much as I want anyway. I am going to the Mickey Thompsons, which will help, but am wondering if I can also get more sidewall. HELP!!!

This calculator says unrecognized tire size...

1.2" diff in radius, too.

STANMAN,
Beacuse you lowered (and you obviously have figured it out) you mostlikely can't fit so large a tire. Seems the taller you go the less likely you'll have decent traction. Your on the right track by switching to the Mickey's but you may have to go through a few more to get exactly what you want.
I run a 295/45/18 in the rear. No good traction on a hard launch but I likke the way it looks (the trade off) Good Luck!

More sidewall should give me more "flex", which I have been told, will help on hard launches. I see guys with the same mods, only 1.5 inch lowering springs, and they fit them, but when I go out and measure, it just seems like it will for sure rub. Very odd, lol.

I think they will fit and am considering going to that size when the Nitto 305/35's wear out. I'm also lowered with HR race springs (will swap to steeda rears at track) and still have a good deal of wheel well to work with. I know what you mean with the Nitto DR's... while providing much better traction than the 275/35 BFG's I had... it's still not enough, even N/A with 4.10's they light up pretty good.

It also depends on your rim offset. You want a good wide rim that will tuck.

I run the MT's on a 10 inch rim with Steeda springs and they fit fine.
