engine trouble, need help
I really hope someone can give me a heads up, cause I am stumped...
In the mornings, and it seems only in the mornings although it is NOT cold, when I drive my car the 1.5 miles to work as soon as I stop and put it in park the engine simply dies. There are no codes being thrown and there is no check engine light that comes on. As soon as I turn the key, the car starts right back up with no problems. If I drive it around the parking lot and again stop and put it in park, it again dies out. I have taken it to the dealership but by the timeI get there the car simply wont do it anymore.
Any ideas??

Okay, I'm not going to pretend to know what I'm talking about, I'm just going to throw out information I've read before on here.
From what I remember reading, driving that short of a distance and turning the engine off again is not good for it; you need to drive it longer than that to get it warmed up and fluids flowing. Doing those short drives that you're doing doesn't give the engine enough time to get moisture/water (?) out of the engine and could cause problems.
Again, I'm trying to remember past things I've came across on here, and if anything I said is wrong/untrue, please correct me...

the short trips wont make your engine stall. sounds like an electronic throttle body issue to me. the dealer can install a "flight recorder" in your car. you basically hit a button when your problem happens and the recorder will datalog parameters that they have selected. then they can review the data and hopefully come up with a diagnosis.
