Default Using jack stands

I need to put my GT on jack stands this weekend to install a MGW shifter and paint the calipers. Where are the recommended position points to place the jack stands to avoid any damage to the undercarriage?

I believe the Owners Manual has some warnings about locations where NOT to use the stands. I have both stands and ramps and I've yet to use the stands on the Stang. At ~$50, a pair of Rhino Ramps is a great investment but stands will work fine if you pay attention to the manual.

I put mine at the pivot point of the lower control arms where they meet the front subframe..

Last time I put my car up on jack stands I located them just behind the lift point on the four corners where the tabs are to change a tire.

You guys are sh#t out of luck!
You need a master degree to put cars on jack stands nowadays.

Annoy an owner of said degree: Jack up your car from the pumpkin...
Fun.

In all seriousness, it could be a pain to jack these cars up when they're lowered and you don't have a low profile jack.
I do like the idea of the built in saddle the FR500C car has under the rocker panels, in te middle.
I want to duplicate this but I've been lazy lately...

That is a cool idea, beats the hell out of those flat tabs.

That 500C is really low.
I had to jack it up to slide my lift posts under it. PITA.
