Well I went to go shift my motor over for more clearance and when I looked under the car, I have about the same amount of clearance between the headers and the steering rack as i do between the headers and the body on the passenger side. I tracked a rattle in my exhaust down to where one of my h-pipe exhaust hangers got bent when I hit a tire on the road recently. This made the metal hanger from the exhaust hit the metal part of the body hanger. I am hoping that was causing my rattle and not the steering shaft. I guess if it rattles tomorrow, I will try to shift it.

As jahudso2 did write on the first page I did shift the engine some to the passanger side.
This little trick did solve my issue Its so nice driving like a maniac with no vibrations in the steeringwheel

Hope it will work for you.

My vibrations were never in the steering wheel, it just felt like it was coming from the front end and i assumed it was the steering shaft. I will let you know tomorrow if my rattling is gone. Mike, does the collector on the drivers side touch the side of the engine block where the header meets the midpipe?

Well I still have a rattle in my car. I think it might be the swaybar endlinks everyone else complains about. I will have to try tightening them later tonight or this weekend. The other rattle is gone from the exhaust which is what I thought was my steering shaft.

i feel mine is def steering cuz i feel a tapping when only making right turns. i noticed that it only taps the steering link when in gear making a right turn. when im not in gear when making a right turn there is no tapping. i thought that was odd when i figured that out today
