I have had my new GT Vert now for about 10 weeks, and I have noticed especially in the last week or so that a few other now Stang drivers don't look the road you are on when you pull up next to them.

I have been a bit of a Mustang nut since........well before puberty anyway and I am one f those "nutters" (as my wife puts it) that waves or gives a thumbs up [sm=smiley20.gif] to fellow Stang drivers.

But this last week, Some of these folk in So. Cal have not resiprocated.

Anyway, how is it in your kneck of the woods???

I wave, but my windows are tinted so dark, no one can see me, or if thye can they don't know what I'm doing...
Most look at me like they think I just sent them the middle finger.

There are some people that see them as "just" a car, unfortunatly.
The people I see in the South Burbs of Chicago driving them dont look right driving them, dunno, its just me. Maybe its because I should be driving one and its just jealousy.
I stare at the car and if they look over I give them a wave/thumbs/or nod, even tho Im not a fellow stanger...yet.

i still am amazed at the attention the 05s get. i traded in a black 98 corvette that neever got the attention the stang does. i do get some obscene gestures occasionally from jealous older stang owners though.

No one in MI waves at all. My roommate has a jeep and they ALL wave all the time. Likely because no one here has an 05 and if they do it is not a Roush...... haha. Kidding. I wish people would wave.

It seems the local 05s wave (mostly just the GTs, but a few 6ers), while everyone pre05s could care less. I've just started growling at the other 05 GTs, and they growl back. It sounds really good on the road, but even better at the light. I can't tell if it scares the soccer moms or turns 'em on

Ditto. I show them the "You're number one" right back. Usually I have to do it through the rear view mirror though.

Seems like there is a great response from everyone I meet from Ohio. Everyone from old to young think the car is beautiful. There were only to gestures that were negative depending how I would take them, I mean they could of just been telling I was no. 1 in their book. The one I just totally laughed at and it came from the passenger of a yellow VW Beetle with a daisy or some flower on the dash. The funny part about that is the driver and passenger were both guys. mmmmmm I don't think I would drive a car with a flower in it, but that is just my opinion. Oh well there has to be some people that don't like the 05's and I have only seen two. I get a good response from other Mustang owners from thumbs up or a wave so all in all feels pretty good that people enjoy your car as much as you do.

i only give the thumbs up to 05's and anything (if i can tell) before '91

I look to see if they notice, then I'll wave. Unfortunately, most pre-05's don't care much, but I did see one kid with a 2002 GT that wanted a little race. Thumbs up, light turned green, I let him keep up til towards the end of 2nd gear.

There should be an option for: Shout out to anyone that looks
