Default 06 GT power steering gone after donuts

Well I'm about to trade my car in and I was out with some friends tonight and of course the subject came up... We decided to go out and have a little fun with the stang before I trade her in.

I only did about 2 spins because I didn't want to burn my tires up too bad but after the donuts my power steering was completely gone! I'm thinking its the pump but I'm not really sure. Any ideas? How much is this going to cost to fix?

Probably a couple of hundred bucks for the pump and labor. You probably held it too tight for too long doing the donuts.

I had the exact same problem a few months back. After about a day...the power steering kicked back in on its own. I still took it down to have it checked out since another issue was being warrantied already, and they found no problems. You MIGHT get lucky.

It's posts like this that make me even more wary of buying used.

awakeinAZ, this is OT, but do you have any higher res pics of those girls in front of your car there? They're hot!

I do donuts like all the time, that's like all I do ever, donuts in the band training/parking lot late at night so they can't see their places to stand for practice in the morning
I've never had any power steering issues. *knocks on wooden desk*

Pffft what a douche

It was literally 2 spins just having a little fun. I've taken it easy on this car and taken care of it for 3 years. 55,000 miles and not a single problem until this power steering. Anyone who buys a Mustang GT used should just assume its been driven hard. A couple donuts is not bad for this car... Why buy a Mustang GT if you aren't going to have a little fun? Its not like I go out every night and beat the **** out of it. This was my daily driver for the past 3 years so I haven't risked breaking something.

Anyways Owero01 hopefully I get as lucky as you did... I tried it again this morning and it was sort of working. It would turn a little then shut off.

Nineinchnail you going to run that whipple at 10psi then take it off and sell it stock??
