Thanks. So the 4.1 amp powers the 6x8's and the door subs? I am thinking of replacing the door 8's (with the Shelby 8's and dynamat) and adding the amp without the 10 inch trunk sub. I have a vert so the sub wouldn't fit anyways. Is the amp an easy mounting job? I think is should go close to the stock amp?

Any additional help would be great.

I bought and installed this sytem a couple of weeks ago..Cutterwolf was correct..not all the watts in the world but sq,seperation and clarity are dead on..one of the best sounding systems i've heard..tonal balance is near perfect and the bass and trble settings are left at the centered position.Installation is pretty simple..did take me two days but i had never done anything with one of our mustangs..in other words..worth the money and the time.Does make the shaker 500 much easier to listen to.

Still using the shaker 500..this system really does make it much more listenable than before..tho' the new speakers seem to help even more.Couldn't believe the stock speakers once I got them out..not even good for paper weights..the kickers are much heavier and with the 12db x-overs they are just right..i live within 4 miles of the Shelby place and from what i was told kicker did in car measuementss and designed the amp and speaker system just for the mustang..i'm very happy with it.

You do not need to replace your Shaker 500/1000 head unit if you do not want too. This system replaces all your factor speakers and adds a 10" sub in a very small very nice enclosure that blows away the Shaker 1000 unit. The system also comes with a new 4 channel (computer controlled)amp that hides up under your glove box. This amp tunes the system to your cars acoustic environment. It also comes with a sub amp that is attached to the back side of the sub enclosure for a clean install. If you have an after market head unit like I do its not a problem either, all you do is set it to play "flat" and let the 4 channel amp take care of the tuning for you. I'll take pictures of the install and all the parts and post them here as I go. Here is a pic of the system from Shelby’s site:

This setup is sick, I love my kicker I have now. Hits so hard when I want it to. Not to mention the plug and play...awesome. BTW only sub I would by over the Kickers solo barics are Memphis Audios

Default Shelby Audio system

I'd buy it if it would fit convertibles.
