Drivers Door Window
On my 05 Convertible if I hit the drivers window up switch so it closes automatically it runs the window all the way up and then all the way back down. The passenger window works like it should. Any ideas what causes this?
Could be:
1) Bad switch
2) Fault in the convertible top switch
3) Water leak behind passenger kick panel shorting fuse panel
4) Humidity causing shorts
It has happened to me a few times but has now gone away

Im kinda curious about this too. My driver side window has done this a few times too.
TBH i believe this is some glitch in the window wiring. i have a 08 GT, and have had this happen on occasion. I don't believe i've ever had it happen to the passengers side as stated.
Sometimes randomly like when rolling up it will proceed all the way up, or partly up, then roll back down. As said i think it's just some small glitch that happens if things get pressed a certain way.
It has never been a persistent problem however. Probably happened 3-5 times in approx the year and couple months i owned my car. It was bought brand new as well.
Would be great if anyone that's had this happen would post how many times, and the frequency. Also would like to hear from anyone if they've had it persist.

Re-Calibrate the window on the drivers side.
Its all in the Owners Manual. Page 46.
If that dont fix it, its the overcurrent detection
(to keep you from rolling your hand up into the
window) that is out of whack and the whole
window motor needs to be replaced.
Bounce-Back Protection. Recalibrate with
top up and doors closed as per the Owners
Manual directions.
Its not a wet SJB because all the motor logic
controls are all in the motors themselves.
