Default x-pipe rasp ?

I know that people say that x-pipes esp O/R are raspy. I have a splice in X with Boomtubes. I like the gurgle decel sounds i get. I think the on accel the set up sounds clean. To those who consider the X-pipe to be raspy, is the gurgle and snapping what you consider raspy or is it more on the lines of trumpeting?

To me the raspiness of an X is more like a higher pitched sound...rather than a deeper sound of an H pipe! depending on what muffler you choose an X pipe can sound like a chainsaw cutting thru a soda can (mostly noticeable on chambered mufflers) where as an H will sound better with the same muffler. trumpeting is almost only noticeable with an O/R pipe..and both the X and H will trumpet sometimes. your setup will sound good because your still using the stock cats. I used to have a splice-in X with SLPs and it sounded good...but add a O/R X and you would know the definition of raspy 4 sure!
