I just bought my wife an 06 volks jetta for 11.5K plus taxes. Its a four banger but it will server its purpose. All things considered I would get a four door sedan. if you wait ford will be releasing the 09 Taurus SHO oh its gonna have the v-6 TT eco=boost. In my opinion, I think you could find a better deal than that truck.

You gotta do what you gotta do. If you can hold on to your pride and joy, HOLD ON!!!
But if due to finances or family needs, you may have to part ways. It's not fun, but the mature and responsible thing to do. Worst thing I've ever done, too (damn I wish I still had that '79 Z28...I guess the 'kids' were worth it...).

But you can fit a couple small ones in the back of the Mustang at least, so it's not that bad. Might not be as easy as a 4-door, but still is reasonable until they get older. KEEP IT!!!

I have a 23 month old son. I have owned a 4 door Toyota Matrix (still have it) and just got my Mustang 1 week ago.

We're getting by okay with the 2 door Mustang and with his child seat in the back. I actually have to step in behind the passenger side to buckle him in. With an infant carrier that just snaps in - it would be much easier.

You can make it work if you want too.

I did the car seat thing for 3 years with my 96 B4C Camaro. It sucked but only when taking it out, putting it in, and when taking my son in and out. 5 years later same deal when my daughter came, but this time I had a 00 grand prix GTP coupe. I'm 6'3" and bending down into a back seat while fighting the front seat and eating the seatbelt is aggrivating as h*ll and I'm sure I taught my kids some nice words. But the 2 mins it might have took each time was worth the years of pleasure I received from my cars. I just bought an 08 Bullitt and I am sure that I am going to have a couple more kids in the next year or two. There is no way I am getting rid of it. If you can live without it, then do what you have to. Just think it out because I know if I would have bought another ride just because of a minor inconveinence, I would have been really unhappy and bored. Plus, kids love sports cars! It is scientific fact, or something....

You gotta do what you gotta do. It's a bummer having to sell your Mustang but if you're doing for the family, so be it. The dealer will always offer several thousand less than private party or retail value of the car. It's the difference between wanting to go through the trouble of selling it on your own, or having the dealer take it for less $'s. If you have the time, sell it on your own.
