As far as your emblem, powdercoated/painted black would look good also on the silver part of the dash somewhere.

Not necessary in my opinion. I'm really not a fan of extra badging though so, again, this is just my opinion.

I think the emblems you want, and the locations you want to put them in are definitely way to big for the dash, they're sized for a fender. I bought these 65-66 flat, reproduction dash emblem for my glove box, and it looks fantastic!

I like the Cobra emblem there, looks real good.
Yes, the emblems have adhesive backing along with two prongs. The prongs will snap right off so you can put them on a flat surface.
