Default Rubber

My 305/35/18 drag radials are worn out completely. It's time for new tires. I don't want drag radials again simply because they don't last and the rocks that hit your wheel wells are so effing annoying. I was planning on going with 285's on my rear. In the front I'm running a pair of Nitto NT555R 275/40/18. I want to know what you guys think I should go with.

I'll suggest 295/35/18 kdws. They look great, good traction in both dry and rain, and are reasonable.

as far as bang for buck goes, falken fk 452s are the best.

i have a set of those kdws on my mercury, they are also very nice and grippy tires but very expensive

in addition to what they said above I would go at least 295 in back since the car has staggered tire sizes and they cant be rotated anyway....hell they make a 305 that is NOT a DR and that is what should replace your back tires...JMO

That's true. Who makes a tire that is not a DR? The DR is just so annoying when driving on side streets (all around my little town of Davie, FL). All you hear is all the rocks hitting your wheel wells and it just sounds so bad.

Do you guys recommend I go with Nitto's for the back since that's what I'm running upfront or do you recommend another brand. And for the record I'm putting down about 315 RWTQ so let's keep that in mind as well.

Thanks,

I'm running Steeda UltraLight wheels. They're 18" by 9.5" wide. I need to find the biggest size possible that would fit a 9.5" rim.

+1, i'm running same exact wheels. What's the widest you can get on these?

I have some sumitomo 275/30/18's now, that i like, but will probably go wider in the future.
