5w30 castrol edge, question please!
found this at walmart for 14.00, yes, you read correctly.they put the wrong label on the motor oil aisle, and i couldn't pass it up.so, i got to the register, and it rang-up around 35.00 i asked the manager WTF and he went back there and saw they placed all the oil(edge) in the wrong location, and he sold it to me for 14.00 for the 5 quart and gave me 1 quart for free! My question is: have any of you guys/gals tried it yet? what are the pros/cons of a 5w30 on a 5w20 motor...someone please explain

Old topic. There are a number of forum members with GT's running 5W30. Although I personaly wouldn't unless that was all I could get, there's been a lot of discussion with it sounding like it's fine. I, on the other hand, run 0W20. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for at least 1 oil change, especially since we're into warmer weather.
i didn't.........nuke, everyone on every forum knows that you run 0w20 signature series amsoil..........and i am aware it is an "old topic", yet I still answer members questions or refer them to a post or member.....why are you or anyone runing 0w20, when ford calls for 5w20? i have read that the 30 weight oil "might" not flow as well in smaller areas in the motor, but is 30 any significant? will someone explain the temperature oil relationship...i live in georgia, and it is always 50-105 degrees F.
