Unhappy Car Going Crazy!

Please help if you have any idea what's going on. So the other day my Shaker 500 started acting up. I kept pressing the power button and nothing would happen. Eventually it came on and I thought nothing of it. Then, the passenger side window wouldn't roll it self back up (you know, when you open the door to get out and then shut it). Next my driver side window stopped doing it as well, but the passenger side window started working properly again! Then I went to start my car after one hour of not driving and it barely started up. Now my windows won't roll themselves up after I close the doors and my driver side window won't roll up on "auto" mode, but still rolls down on auto. WTF! Please help!

Ghost riders. LOL. Have your battery checked if you haven't replaced it. Could be the culprit.

There is a window reset feature that is written in your owners manual.

This was copied from another post on this forum:

You need to reset the window switch.
Pull on the window switch as normal (pull to first resistance) to roll the window up, and once up let go of the switch. Next, Pull the switch all the way up and hold it for a few seconds then release. The window should operate normally now

Either the battery or you have the factory "water leak option". There is a TSB for the water leak and the 05's, 06's and some 07's were prone to it. It wreaks havoc with the elctrical system.

Damn it. I washed it on Saturday and noticed this stuff happening later that day and onto Sunday as well. However, I drove it all throughout the winter and it rained a lot here in the SF Bay Area and didn't experience any problems or water leaks then. I'm hoping then it's the battery and not the water leak that I've read about on here.

As far as the water leak, you can pull the cover off by the passenger kick panel and push a tissue down against the carpet inside of the kick panel. If there's still dampness it'll be absorbed into the tissue (since the carpet is cool to the touch it's difficult to tell if it's damp, hence the tissue). At least you might be able to rule out the water leak. I really think it's battery/alternator related, though.

Oh yeah, I'd bet money you got the leak.

I mean, I hope not, but...

srahimi,
Im about 90 percent sure its your battery. I have had the same problem for a long time and im about to change out my battery. I had it checked out when i got my new tires, our factory batteries are rated at 500CCA and mine was only pushing 293, it was also only going at 9 volts when starting the car. I suggest getting a 650CCA or higher battery, especially if you have any aftermarket speakers or anything using power other than things that came from the factory.
