What are 08 & 09 stangs going for right now?
GT 5spd
Options dont really matter, I don't need all that fancy stuff
I hear dealers are still trying to get rid of some 08s? And are swamped with getting rid of 09s
So I was curious as to what people were getting them for or new for a fact how much they are going for OTD
I just seen a 2010 today and granted it is fully loaded, they wanted $38k for it but with a $2k markup.

I actually just got a new 08' (in March) PW 5-spd mustang GT, with blk/blue Roush leather seats, shaker500, 3.55s, etc. for 21k OTD (taxes inc.). Last 08' they had on the lot...Dealer located in the DFW part of TX
08's aren't considered "new" anymore are they? Recently I think it went from new 08-09's to 09-2010's...From what I have noticed if you try to look up rebates, KBB, new cars, etc. 08's are considered "used"... I dunno, I was just always curious to what actually happens when a new car(08' for example) sits on the lot for this long.....Do they cut all the new car rebates and sell it as a high priced used? just curious.
Anyways, hope this helps out

That being said, never expect anywhere near the used prices on kbb or edmunds if you try to buy a new 2008. I'd look for $1500 to $2000 off the 2009 prices (which are going for basically invoice - $3500 in rebates right now).

without much haggling at all I got the dealer down to $26,000 out the door for my brand new 2009 GT premium. that's basically paying $23,500 for the car plus tax, tag, title. that's if you have cash or finance with an APR. I choose to take the 0% financing offer which adds $3,500 to the cost of the car but you save money in the long run. the rebate is only if you don't take the 0% financing offer. basically it's bait and switch but it works out in your favor, unless you have cash or don't finance through Ford, then you can get the car cheap.
if the dealer has been sitting on the car for a while they'll be more likely to give you a good deal. if they have a lot of cars on the lot they'll be even more likely to make a deal. the dealer I was at had the exact color / option combo I wanted so I wanted to haggle a little more but I didn't want to miss out on the car I wanted.

My cousin graduated high school last week and his parents were looking at 2009 GTs for a graduation present. (He always liked my car and his parents have money, but I'm not hating because he's a good kid.) Anyway, I was surprised at how high the MSRP has gotten on mustang GTs since I bought my '06. We couldn't find anything under $31K on the sticker and most were much higher. Back when I bought mine, it had almost every available option, the MSRP was only $28,xxx and I talked them down to under $25K. The lowest a dealer would go on an '09 GT when we looked last week was about $28K, so they ended up buying him his second choice vehicle... an '09 Toyota Tundra 5.7 liter 4 door. I gotta say, I'm bummed that he didn't get the stang, but that Tundra is a beast.
