Exclamation Important Vinyl Stripe Question!

How long can you keep vinyl stripes on hand (in the house) before installing them and them still be good?

I am ordering some matte black stripes and plan to have them installed next week or the week after and was wondering because I heard you have to install them pretty fast or they get bad.

One more thing. For those of you who ordered your stripes from Baltimorestreetmods, how long did it take for you to get your stripes once you ordered them?

Thanks

if you keep it in a dry spot, away sun light, it should stay good for years,

this is wrong, vinyl's self life is no more than a year, usually 6 months. I have been selling mustang stripe kits for a while now.

3M - Shelf Life To obtain best performance, use this product within 18 months from date of
manufacture.

Also, mine sat on the counter for three weeks until they got installed... You'll be fine.

How is it that vinyl stripes can last 5 yrs or so in the sun but their shelf life is much shorter?
