I was wondering what the differences are between the various 05-09 models are, is there a year that is better than another?? was any changes made to improve the cars as the years went by??

 

For 2007 we got the in line audio jack in the console.

The GT 500 KR rear spoiler was first introduced on the V6 Pony Package in 2007 (I've been wanting to say that for a long time)

Several color changes, Vista Blue was first offered in 2007

The V6 Pony Package was introduced in 2006

17" Bullet Wheel color went from Argent to Silver in 2007

The Interior Sports Appearance Package 18M was dropped in 2009

Additional frame reinforcement starting in 2007 in all models (even the V6) to accommodate the 5.4L GT 500 engine

Woven Charcoal Dash option was dropped from the V6 in 2009

Starting late Dec 2006 (Job 2, 2007 MY) the V6 rear spoiler started getting hard foam inserts to keep it from rubbing the trunk.

About March 2007 all models started receiving the cross member brace. This was originally offered on the convertible and GT 500.

BTW, can you tell I own a special ordered 2007 Job 2 Vista Blue Pony Package :-) I've also added the OEM cross member brace.

 

Various TSB's have been removed as well over the model years, if anyone knows those.

 

The cooling system was changed for 2007.

The Ford Fusion 2008 key with the integral RKE will work in the ignition, but will not give you the remote functions on 2005-2006 Mustangs.
