I don't do it all the time...

I'm just saying when you are about to take off from a hill...not like sitting through the whole light. The smell has been there since I first got the car. Didn't notice it until we bought the car though...

Sorry, I didn't explain my situation very well...I said to stay still but I was referring to attempting not to roll back...my bad.

I plan on mods in the near future so would it not be smart to upgrade the clutch when I need to replace it anyway?

If so, what should I go for? How hard is the install?

I don't know what is available for a v-6, but I can tell you that unless you plan on supercharging your stock clutch will hold up just fine. I have a Brenspeed stage 2 Saleen supercharger and I am running stock clutch and have no problems with slipping. I plan on upgrading my clutch when i forge the bottom end of the engine because i'm going to raise the boost. Changing a clutch is not that hard if you have experience doing stuff like that. If you never done anything like that I wouldn't recommend trying it. You will have to pull the transmision. When you change the clutch you will also have to get the flywheel resurfaced or purchase a new one.
