okay so i decided to save up for the vortech s/c kit, but now it has me thinking if i should get the sc kit and just buy GO parts or should i buy some et streets, lowering springs, lca's, panhard bar, 4.10s, and a gt500 hood and front fascia???

 

also i was wondering if anyone was running the non intercooled kit and if so how much rwhp they were putting down with wat mods, thanks guys

 

Typically the non H/O puts down around 400 rwhp.

 

I was going to just do shocks/struts/springs and a full bmr rear end and then stop modding this car. I just found a used vortech on the other forums, I don't think I'll ever stop modding as long as I have a couple bucks in my checking account.

 

I actually in the same boat. I am really looking at the Brenspeed Vortech non IC. Or I was thinking Gears, cam etc. I am leaning toward the Vortech because of recommendations from others. I am just wondering if the non-IC kits can be installed by the normal do it yourselfer. Sorry for the highjack

 

I'd say yes as long as you're willing to drill into your oil pan/timing cover.

 

i would be doing the install myself but i would have it checked before the dyno tune

 

I am looking at the Vortech V3 at Brenspeed. If I am not mistaken it is a self-contained unit. Which I like.

 

it does have the self contained oiling

 

If you go the SC route, do yourself a favor and get the IC. Its well worth the effort and not financially feasible to do it after. Get it done from the get go.
