Mellow - I agree with what you are saying about the IC.
However, if you are a budget and want to get more power the Vortech V3 non IC from Brenspeed is a good choose. Plus if you want to save up and upgrade at a later time, the diffence maybe worth it especially if you do not what to put out $5K+ in one shot.

The non IC Vortech V3 Kit @ Brenspeed - $3799.00
The IC Vortech V3Kit @ Brenspeed - $5154.89
-------------------------------------------
Difference - $1,355.89

Buying the Vortech V3 HO Kit after the fact @ Brenspeed - $1765.70

Difference - $409.81

Might cost you more in the long run but maybe easier for some people to take, especially the wives!

if you ask me i always say do the none engine stuff first then see how you like it then go for power. and power wise id always say do the headers, cams and what not first, then do the expensive stuff like supercharger. if my car was NA id do cams headers, exhaust, CAI, gears, aluminum drive shaft, and a nice tune first see how i like it how fast i can get it then think about throwing a supercharger on it. its always nice to get a car to be as fast if not faster then a supercharged car when your NA.

Theres nothing wrong with running a non-IC vortech. if you have the extra $$$, go all-out and buy the IC...but close to $1400 more for only 40hp is not really worth it. hell...for a little more $$$ you could get a procharger and really rock! LOL.

I have no complaints with my non-IC V3 from Brenspeed. The car is fast, and the power is very street-able. Mine put down 397rwhp at only 5800rpm. Shes probably good for 410-415 at redline, but I'd assume you'll get around 400ish. Its cheaper to do the IC up front if you have definite plans to. I'm still on the fence with that, while I don't feel like I need it, the 'ol side business is looking like it'll be very lucrative in the near future. So perhaps I'll slap it on there for grins. It'll be a while though, its just not a priority.

As would be expected, service from Brenspeed was top notch, and the tune is very good.
