Default Difference between GT Seats and GT500 Seats

As the title says, is there any difference between the GT seats and the GT500?

I ask this because I find that there is not enough support, when I'm cornering hard, with the stock seats.

I want something that looks close to stock but would provide a "deeper" bucket seat.

the gt500s and the bullit seats LOOK the same as the standards, but have a thicker padding on the side bolsters. feels really nice, not flimsy like the one i have. i don't slide all around it, but i do prefer the look of them.

they're definitely on my to-do list, just not my right-now list.

The gt500 seat is better than the gt. IMO.

having owned both. I feel the gt500 has more support on the sides...as someone has mentioned it is partially due to the increased padding of the side bolsters. It is also due to the structure of the seats. They are reinforced on the side bolsters with extra padding as well as curved framing (dont know if framing is the right word) I also feel that the botton cushion goes downward at a slightly greater angle which again forces **** placement. overall the seats are an improvement in design as well as increased padding over the gt seats.

So can you get the effect with just GT500 seat covers that I"ve seen around or is it something different about the seat frame itself that provides the extra support?

GT500 seats definitely hug you. The GT seat is just a seat.

From what I can tell there is a definite difference in the frame. I have the Bullitt with the GT500 seats and they feel totally different than a GT. And it can't just be padding.

as I stated earlier it is more than just padding...it is in the framework of the seat as well...padding would fail over time without strutcture to support it. the gt500 seat definitely is built to hug the passengers better etc.
