My e-brake won't latch

Default My e-brake won't latch

Hey fellas me e-brake won't latch. It will still stop the car and register on the dash but won't latch. Has this happened to anyone and how did you fix it? Thanks guys

yes its "sorta" common.
there is a clip that slides onto caliper and then you clip the cable into it. this provides the leverage for the cable to work.
not hard todo just need to pull off the tires to do it.
I have gone through 3 extra clips from ford, (i keep on kicking them off at the track, it makes one hell of a bad noise.. launch, shift, BING loud mettal right rear corner.
search the forum i posted picks and stuff on the repair.

You have over extended it.
The 'catch' must be reset.
Remove the cables.
Extend the lever. Flip the
catch back into place.
Lower the lever.
Reinstall the cables.
