I don't really know what this means, but I guess I'm still going to be waiting a while. Oh well.

 

After Friday - they shut down the plant for two weeks. Start back up on the 18th. Sometime that week you get a Sequence date, then Blend and build is usually one
week later. Then a couple weeks to deliver depending on where you live. If I had to guess... I'd say you're looking at second week of August for delivery, but that's pure speculation.

 

Have you called Chatty Cathy (the 800 number) yet? She will give you a build date. Use your order number and dealer number minus the alpha character in the dealer number when they ask for it. You will need the body style which yours is a T82. Since you are serialized, that 800 number will give you a build date for the week of whatever they say. If you need the 800 number, let us know. Most of us have it on our cell phone for quick dialing. Remember you want option 1 or you will have to talk to a live person and you need to be a dealer for that but I bet you can pretend very well.

Well, according to "Cathy", the thing won't even be built until the week of 7/18. That sucks monkey *****. I went to a dealer with cash in hand and said give me the car. They said the thing was going to be here by the end of June. Now it looks like the beginning or middle of Aug. I asked my dealer what gives and he said something about them not having the car marked as sold or some BS like that. This is a real problem. I went to get the Mustang begause my brother totaled my car so I don't have anything to drive now. I've been spending about $120/day on a cab to and from work and I don't know if I can do that for another 6 weeks. F***. I really want this Mustang.

Maybe I'll just go down to the dealer tomorrow and buy an RX-8 or a new Maxima which I can drive right off the lot.

 

The "Z" is kind of hot too.

 

Since you already have yours ordered and you have a build date, go to the dealer and see if they will lend you a car until yours comes in. Some dealers have been known to do that for their customers. There is one person on this forum that did that, can't remember their name. I just got word that mine was built today and is being shipped today. It may be here by the end of next week. So if your build week is 7/18, I bet you get it by the week of 8/1.
