Default should I replace my battery?

hey i got an 05 v6 mustang manual shaker 1000 no anti theft a few weeks ago. I washed the car a few days ago listening to music with the car off. Probally not a good idea but w/e. So next day i go to start the car and it wont start. I've heard of this problem before, and i beleive my shaker 1000 was running and i just opened the door. So i geuss that was the problem. when i shut the radio off let it run it seemed ok, I've only been able to start it by popping the clutch in reverse rolling down the driveway. Should i replace the battery or will that do no good if i next time i forget to shut off the radio. What should i do because i know i will park somewhere and forget to turn the radio off and i dont want my car to be dead when i get back. I've heard of this problem when the car has been sitting for weeks but mine only sat overnight. Any suggestions?

If it's the original battery, I would replace it, It's been 4 years and the battery has had better days.

Pull the battery and take it to an Auto parts store and have them check it to make sure that it does not have a bad cell. But for me, when mine started doing the same thing, I did not even bother to have the battery checked, I just replaced it. I travel every day and cannot afford to find my out my car won't start and I am 150 miles from home.

Don't bother testing the battery; just replace it. Once it goes dead like that' it won't last. The shaker killed my 3.5 year old battery. [%(@$#*$ shakers!!!!]

Definately replace it if it's the stock battery. Have it tested otherwise. And stop leaving the Shaker system on with the ignition off. That'll kill the battery in most any pre-'07 Stangs.
