If the tune turns off the rear O2 sensors, you'll be fine with the stock H.

the tune is specific for the O/R H right, so if you load the tune while you still have the cats on you will throw a CEL. I don't think it's going to hurt anything performance wise, just the CEL till you put the O/R pipe on.

I had a similar question. I was looking for a tune and o/r h pipe. I emailed Brenspeed asking if I would have to re-tune if I (or the cops) decided I needed to remove the o/r pipe. They said all of their tunes turn off the rear o2 sensors anyway, so a new tune would not be needed. If you think about it, it makes sense though. if the computer does not even read the rear o2 sensors thanks to the tune, then what difference does it make if they are there or not?

Lol, I started reading this thread and it was like déjà vu; there was a thread about this two weeks ago.

Anyway, I don't know where you got your tune, but Doug (BamaChips) turns off the rear O2 sensors on every tune anyway, regardless of your setup; and, like stangdude81 said, Brenspeed does too.

Does anyone know when the tunes are set with the O2 sensors turned off, will the car pass the state inspection in the state of Texas.

General it will fail. The error with be something alongs the lines of "sensors not ready" since they are off.
