Whats a used 05 GT worth?

RE: Whats a used 05 GT worth?
Do dealer searches on the internet and start calling around. That's what I did. I ended up driving 3 hours out of state (to Delaware, of all places), but it saved me $6k on a premium GT vert from what most everyone here was asking, and I got to buy from a really nice dealer instead of these local morons. Nothing is more satisfying than driving into the local dealer the next day and telling them to take you off the call list and that you got it for your price and not theirs
There are good dealers out there, but you will probably have to work to find one.

And what mach 1 did you drive? The Mach 1 is a lil faster than the 05'. And will take a cobra in 1/8 mile. 1/4 in some cases.
I will keep looking.....thanks

Here you are... go nuts! In the age of the internet, there is no excuse for getting ripped off by a car dealer when there are thousands of them to choose from!
http://www.internetautoguide.com/car...nia/index.html (covers dealers by state)
There are probably better sites out there too, this is just what I used... Have this in one window, google maps in the other, grab the phone, and you're good to go. You will probably be frustrated early and often, but isn't it worth a couple hours of aggravation to save a couple thousand bucks?

RE: Whats a used 05 GT worth?
Is this crazy or what??
I did a search through auto trader for the cost of "used" Mustangs. GT's, some verts, in the San Antonio area are going for anywhere between:
27K to 33k for used!! 600 to 17000 miles.
Man, for used vehicles!
Later,

RE: Whats a used 05 GT worth?
A few more things to consider here.
"Pre-owned" is the new term that dealers use for "used" cars. Started maybe 5 years ago? Ask if it is a "Certified Pre-owned", Those cars are supposed to be given a full going over, with dealers spending about $1000 on making the car "Certified". This varies greatly, I bet. Some cars with 7000 miles on them may not need more than a few hundred spent.
The Car Max and Auto Trader prices don't tell you what a pre-owned GT is worth. Those are asking prices only. I think that's why prices will continue to vary. Plus in some areas they may add a premium to the used car!
Did anyone notice this GTs being sold that only had 100 & 145 miles?
I bet those were either demos or just cars that accumulated too many test drive miles to be sold as "New". Nice, if that's the case, that the dealer won't try to push a car like that as "New".
