hp gain from flowmaster mufflers
forgive me if this has already been asked on this forum, but a friend of mine is getting rid of his flowmaster mufflers off his 05 gt, and he said he'd sell them to me for 100 bucks. i'm not sure what series they are, but i was curious to see if there would be any hp gains out of adding this on to my car. if it doesn't give me any gains, i'm completely fine with it, it'll give me a deeper sound which is fine by me.
best regards,
ben

I would save another $100 and get a diff set of mufflers and you wont see any gains from any mufflers.
flows on s197= poop IMO and alot of them end up with broken baffles and sound even worse. why is your buddy selling them?

he said he's getting a different set up, and he'd like to go into it with a little more money. i thought it'd be a good start to get somethin like this on my car, but now i'm having second thoughts

Worth it for the sound gain IMO.
The horsepower might be about 5 hp. Saleen's factory muffler is a Flowmaster and they've NEVER had a single problem with baffles breaking on their large number of production cars equipped with them.
