Default Today my car didnt want to start...

Hello Guys!

Today was really weird, in the morning at 5:00am I started the car normally with no issues and took my girlfriend to the bus and then came back home. At 8:00am i was ready to go work but then the car didnt want to start, it was having a hard time to start something like the motion or trend(found is called the starter), sorry im from mexico and dont know the exact word for this part of the car, but is the one who works when you turn on the key and give power to the car.

Im not sure what it was but it sounds like the car was trying to start but nothing then i starting pushin the accel and after some seconds it came on. I turned off and then again the issue after it started up. I turned off again and then it came on normally, i then drove to my work with no issues

Mustang GT 2007 V8 Manual, 35000km, all services.

Any ideas on what could it be ?

Possibly some dirt in the fuel system that you were finally able to blow thru. Have you replaced your fuel filter? I don't know how clean your fuel and the tanks are in Mexico so you may want to replace the filter. Also, try some fuel system cleaner (Techron available at WalMArt here in the states) the next time you fill up. Whatever you use, be sure to use the correct amount, pour it in the tank while at the gas station BEFORE you fill up and run the tank down to about 1/4 tank before filling up afterwards. Cleaning the TB might help, too, as OhioState mentioned.

Did you get a CEL or did the wrench icon light up?

Agreed. I would swap out the fuel filter if you're not throwing any codes/CEL. Sounds like it's about that time anyway. It's under a cover on the drivers-side right below the door. It's under pressure and a somewhat messy job unless you depressurize the system. My car has 42k on it and I've already swapped it twice (every 15-20k or so).

BTW, no need to press the fuel pedal when starting.
The PCM ignores the input until the engine starts.

Thasnkes everyone for answering, the problem was the battery. I was surprised since the horrible noise that car did when trying to start never appeared or indicated battery issues, then it started, that why i thought it was the starter.

I changed to a new battery and car started without any issue.

Just curious why car was making those bad sounds and it was trying to start but it was forcing something very bad until it came up, dealership said t was some cells bad but does anyone can try to explain ?
