· 80+ amps at idle (2000 alternator shaft rpm)
· 160+ amps maximum (6000 alternator shaft rpm)
· The stock belt can be used on original equipment vehicles

Default Core?

Okay can someone tell me what a core is?

The ones on ebay sound good in all but one does not need a core and the other is used, how trustworthy is that?

This means you will give them your old alternator plus the cost of the replacement

The core would be your bad alternator. You give it to them and they rebuild it and sell it to someone else and give you some money back if you give them the core.

Had trouble with mine so I just went back and bought a new Ford alternator. Should have went with the after market one due to price. Oh well.

Check to see if you have any alternator shops in town. Found one here that does mostly commercial vehicle stuff (buses, heavy construction equipment and the like) and was told it would cost $60 or less for them to rebuild mine, and could be done while I wait.

If it's the typical issue with these (as it is with mine), the diodes have gone/are going bad and that is really all that needs to be replaced. You could save yourself some pretty significant coin, and it's probably faster than waiting on one to get delivered.
