Not really on a black car
I'd paint the whole assembly semi gloss black, or live them alone if they won't fade.

Anyone have a pic of how the paint on the cups only stops? (Where did the paint stop...having ever seen these in person is there a natural stoping point)

I just looked at mine (which are not painted yet), and there is a natural place/line for the paint to stop in which the cup looks to be a separate piece from the stem/mount. I can snap a couple pics if you need some.

SHR did mine and they came out awesome. I'm not sure why they wouldn't do a custom set for you as they did me, but I can only guess that it's probably how busy they are right now.
