Have a Vapor gtcs...I thought I was set on painting the whole mirror (everything) as SilverHorse does this...with this color (vapor) should I only paint the cup, and who does (paints) them from the shop (I would not trust anyone here in Houston to do it) or paint the whole thing...I believe they are 394.00 painted from silverhorse...any suggestions?

silverhorse painting quality is great. they will also do just the mirror housing i believe. just call them, they're great folks to deal with.

 

I got my SHR louvers pre-painted and it sucks. Color match is good. Orange-peel surface is awful. I regret it.

Wow...that scares me about SHR...I looked at stage3, but they don't seem to paint the agent 47 mirrors???

 

If it's any help, I've seen their painted side louvers and they were fine.
Maybe they use a different shop now...

 

I had thought I'd read somewhere that they would do just the cup of housing, but after a call they only do all or nothing...

 

the 47 mirrors are cheapest at americanmuscle.com with the discount code. however you will have to get them painted somewhere else, but it should still work out cheaper then the $350 from SHR.

 

Painting the cup only give those mirrors a nicer touch IMO.

 

I agree but would it matter on a black mustang? Cause I'm gunna get some these and was wondering whether or not to paint the whole thing or just the cup... ?
