Seems like we're all waiting....ordered mine on May 9th and am still waiting. Ordered Torch Red premie, 3.73 rear, 19" machined rims, comfort package and access'y pkg 1. The latter I had to nix because I was told the supplier went out of business - in this economy, go figure, lol. Zeindog, your wait is a real bummer...guess it aint too bad for the rest of us.

It is a good news ( I mean about shipping) but is it a fact or just speculations. Could you give us some more.....

I was shown an email from my dealer that had an explaination of the delays from the mustang marketing manager. There were about 2300 effected vehicles that had a fit and finish problem with the air bag covers. They planned on having 1800 of them finished by the end of the month. The plant is currently closed until next monday in which if there are any remaining they will work on them.

They are referring to "custom" built cars, which you can order at your local Ford dealership. They aren't custom like the old days, as we can't change many things, like engine size, # of gears, etc.
For as little as $500 or $1000 down you can put together a new Mustang with just the options YOU want, which means it will take a while to be built, as the dealerships' orders must be filled first.
The good news is that a Mustang you order will not have options that you don't want/need. This is very important to many buyers now because so many of the new 2010's at the dealerships are too loaded. Those 19" wheels, Navigation, etc can put the 2010 into a too-high a price range.

I guess if you are wanting a more basic version I can see the reason. I have seen a couple of GTs for over $30k. I would still seriously look at a few other places while you are waiting, who knows, you might get lucky.
BTW, I am in the same boat, still waiting for my GT500. I did negotiate my price down based on cars I found on ebay though!

Not wanting to get my hopes up..but the lastest word is two weeks on mine. To your point, dealer told me the issue with mine was the options I added are not really the norm so it was gonna be longer..just didn't think this much longer

that sucks... ford had them on hold for a while from what i was hearing... (i work at a dealership) there was a safety issue so they stopped building them for a while so that the issue could be fixed... everything seems to be fine now and on a side note we are expecting our mustangs to come in soon too cant wait to test drive one of the new shelbys....
