Default Throttle roll in...?

Maybe it's me but my car's throttle response seems like it rolls into the throttle even if I slam it to the floor. I have one of those cars that will run like a rocket but from a dead stop not even a squeal, I have to breakstand to get rubber, which I just find hard to believe. I mean I'm running a 93 Bama tune and chirp 2nd no problem under WOT but slam it from a stop and it just feels like it rolls in.

I start to wonder if Ford did any 'undisclosed' adjustments to the PCM or the way the throttle body reacts, or maybe even the pedal assembly. Yeah it's auto with stock 3.31s but still with a CIA, Bamatune, shorty headers and new X it just seems odd.

Anyone else notice anything like this?

God how much I hate the electronic throttle, give me a wire any day, which you could retro fit one.

Of course

See watch this video, once I get her spinning no problem, but the take off with out a brakestand feels like the car is automatically rolling into WOT. It's like the throttle is like (0%, 25%, 50%, 80%, WOT) instead of (0%, WOT) but this only happens from a dead stop to maybe 20MPH, if I'm rolling 50 and punch it, it'll kick down and go like a rocket. It's always been like this and in stock for I figured yeah auto, 3.31 it's expected but now with tune and mods I'd figure it would be a bit more eager, that's why it seems to be something electronical not engine wise.

My exact thoughts even before I opened the thread. I'd try resetting the adaptive learning, too.

Well then I would start with the tune. Throttle response is horrible before a tune. Did it ever have good throttle response? If yes, reload the tune. If not, I would get a different tune.

I've reloaded my tune many times, recalibrated the throttle, tried different tunes (Bama, Tillman, etc.) It happens in a second or 2 but that's enough to feel it and to loose that oomph.

I don't know anything about Bama. I've only used Brenspeed and my tunes have always been good. Maybe the "loss" of power is more of a "lack" of power? Supercharge it annd I bet you wont have any throttle problems

I've used a Bama, Breenspeed and a Tillman, all the same. Is this all because of that damn electric throttle, I would just think there would be more of a snap off the line.

I don't want to bust anyones chops but if you read the thread and look at my mods I have a tune, have had it for a while and have tried others also, all of them left this feeling.

Just looking to find out if anyone else has felt this even after a tune, and other various mods.
