05-09 model or 2010?
Since you have a problem with basic logic, I'll spell it out for you: The '05 Mustang was the first year for it's production. There were no rebates to speak of when the vehicle first came out. People were putting their names on a list to buy one at MSRP. It took a while before we started hearing of people buying the '05 for less than sticker price.
Today, the 2010 Mustangs are in dealership lots and they are ALREADY offering $1000 off to a guy who didn't even start to negotiate a price? THAT speaks volumes to me about the 2010 Mustang. The only read different between now and then is that the economy is different, so that's definitely a disadvantage for the 2010 Mustang as compared with the 2005 Mustang.
If you need further clarification, feel free to ask. I realize that you have some trouble understand my concepts and I'll be happy to explain it more slowly to you
The '08 & '09 Bullitt engine is the same old 4.6L engine that's been in the GT for years now. There's no discernable difference between the Bullitt engine and the GT engine. The extra HP comes from a Ford Racing CAI and a slightly different calibrated tune. The engine itself is exactly the same. Every part in or on the engine is the same, except for the intake tube & box/filter.
In my opinion the 2010 Mustang GT will be the red-headed stepchild of the S197 Mustangs because it will be the only year that featured the newer styling with the older and less powerful engine. I don't know why Ford continues to do this, but it has happened before. Remember when they did the same thing with the Cobra? There is virtually no demand at all for the lower HP Cobra. Buick did the same thing with the Grand National back in 80's. All of a sudden they put a much more powerful engine in it and nobody wanted the models with the old, weaker engine. Well, I think the 2010 is going to suffer the same fate once the 5.0L engine comes back in 2011.
No, that means nothing to me. Of course they are offering bigger rebates on the outgoing model. What in the world would you expect?

It was obvious the slant thrown in was that the 2010 is not as marketable as the 2005 was. Your throwing a dig at the 2010 is all it amounts too because you simply don't like the car.
In case you need further clarification I'll spell it out for you as well.. WE ARE IN A RECESSION!!! Ford needs to sell cars. Ford did not get the bail-out that the other two received and get to start from zero. How about we give them credit for offering the rebates...as they are doing across the whole product line-up for 2009 and 2010. Your just rrying to single out a specific car when I simply pointed out they are doing this across the whole line-up.
Obviously your trying to make this a personal thing..
Newsflash for you:

And at no point did you see me defend Ford's reasoning behind keeping the 4.6L engine in the 2010. In fact I stated to the OP if he wanted the horsepower to wait for the 2011.
I love that interior, especially the red leather with white stitching. Looks great. I'm not a fan of the wheel options for the 10' though, they need some shine. All in all, I do like the car, especially the front end and interior. Nice purchase!
I'll agree, that Brick Red interior is pretty sweet looking. I've had my eye on the Grabber blue since I first saw it though. Perf White with red interior was my second choice. Below are the pics I was toying with for options...

Is that middle picture a chop? I don't see the signal lights next to the headlights. Looks MUCH better this way - I really hate those signal lights, especially the chrome. Get rid of those and the mutton chops and the front end is improved dramatically IMO.
The first two pics are chops. A guy from another Forum did the 2nd pic you asked about to see if he could further enhance the look with some minor changes. No different than the '05 - '09 model. People will find a way to enhance things and it will make it into the after-market soon enough.
Thank you fo repeating what I was saying. The economy is what is driving the rebates across Ford's entire line-up. Obviously...if there is a $1000 rebated your gonna get it before you even start to negotiate the price....the rebate is already there!!! We weren't in a recession in 2005 so why would Ford offer the rebates?? We now are now in a recession so people aren't gonna be lining up and putting names on a list. Your trying to compare apples to oranges (recession times vs non-recession times).

Personal thing? Hahahahaha...that's funny. There's nothing personal about it. I don't currently own an S197 Mustang of any year, so what's personal about it?
The fact of the matter remains that the 2010 is discounted from day one and the 2005 Mustang was not. You can cry about the recession all you want, but even in a good economy the demand for the 2010 would not be nearly what it was in 2005. You should man up and admit that instead of hiding behind the bad economy as the ONLY reason for the discounted 2010 models.
