WHIPPLE-It is a very complete kit that will support more HP then the stock internals can take and is so much fun on the street and those that track it....on the track too!!!!!
Roush will give a 3yr/36K mile warranty on the base kit at 5 psi I believe

Depends on how much you want to make....
A current Roushcharger (M90) with the shipped 73mm pulley, stock air box, and Roush Tune maxes out around 380-390 rwhp on a totally stock manual trans car. Add a CAI + Custom Tune and your at 410-415 rwhp. Add a 2.5" Upper Pully and new idler and your at 425-430 rwhp. Add a smaller crank pulley and wiring upgrade to FPDM and you might make 450 rwhp on a really good day if the car is otherwise stock but you will be on the ragged edge of what the fuel system can handle (reason for the wiring uipgrade) and pushing that little M90 Blower pretty hard. Its not really bad for a kit thats under $5,000 new now if it meets your needs.
The FRPP/Whipple HO Kit has made 490-500 rwhp with a Custom Tune on an otherwise stock car but its close to $2,000 more and doesnt need any addditonal parts for the power and includes upgraded fuel pumps.
If you were talking the non-intercooled non-HO FRPP/Whipple (No Fuelpumps and no aftercooler) I would go with the Roushcharger.
Now if your talking about the new TVS2300 P51 Blower that Roush is selling as a tuner kit for $5700 now thats a whole different issue but you will either need a fuel pump upgrade or to use an underdrive lower pulley (along with possible FPDM Wiring Upgrade) to get it to play nice with the stock fuel pump. The TVS makes more low-end and midrange than a Screw Blower like the FRPP/Whipple and I would not be suprised if longevity is more as well.
Just depends on your needs, wants and budget.

Depends, assuming we're talking about top level kits the Whipple is better for high power applications because it has more flow due to the heavy duty intake manifold designed for very high boost and horsepower, but the Rouscharger has more linear power delivery and makes more power through out the power band so therefore in racing it will need about 7% less peak horsepower to win and 10% less horsepower during daily driving to achieve the same speed. This is based on the dyno chart.
On the other hand the Rouscharger suffers from heat soak slightly more severely than Whipple so after few minutes of sporty driving it will produce 3% less power compared to the Whipple based on the reported running temperature differences between the two and a simple calculation.
So if you're going forged or you're racing on a circuit go Whipple.
If you're going to be drag racing for a few seconds or daily driving go Roush.

You need to figure out what your goals are for power and money. Both are great kits...fit, finish, etc. If you want to make some Good power and have expandability down the road, go Whipple. If you are looking just to add some power and low/mid end torque, the Roush will fit you nicely. Also you can keep your warranty.
As stated, it is possible to get 400+ whp out of the Roush, but at that point it is maxed out. (talking about the 445hp Roushcharger, Not the TVS)

i would go whipple. it includes the GT500 fuel pump, and it is a proven dependable SC that can make up to 600 rwhp as a kit as long as your block can take it. or the roush TVS is a good SC also and can do about the same power. i would not get the m90 roushcharger bc it is limited in the power it puts out.

I had a RoushCharger that I installed on my 2006 F-150 with 5.4 3v
very very fun. I know lots of guys running 550 crank HP (about 400-450 RWHP...lots of drivetrain loss in the F-150) with tune + 8 PSI + exhaust...I know it's comparing Apples to Oranges...but the Roush can put out some power easily.
Overall, the Whipple will make more HP...but it costs more money up front. A RoushCharger is a great cheap way to have alot of fun for a daily driver.
