This stuff is for vinyl and other materials and some use it for their vinyl stripes to protect them from U.V. rays.

I ordered some and it came in and I plan to use it on them when I wash my car next time on the stripes.

My question for those of you who use it is this:
Do you use it on your leather seats?

I know the leather in our seats is part leather part vinyl.
On the 303 instructions, etc. it says that most leather in cars is plastic coated (which I have no idea if ours is or not).
It also says that 303 is perfect for plastic coated leather but for "naked" or "unfinished" leather upholstery they recommend Lexol.

I was wanting to find out if anyone uses it on their leather seats in their S197's. I am REALLY needing to protect my seats from U.V. damage and this stuff seems to be really good at that. However, I do not want to use it if it could mess up the leather.

 

I love 303 as I am a detailer but I must admit, it's not that great on Mustang interiors. Some interior plastics respond well to dressings and others don't. Both my Mustang and Z06 don't dress up that well with 303. Not that its bad but it doesn't seem to give that beautiful satin depth that it does on other interiors like BMW & Mercedes. I would NOT use it on your stripes or any paintwork. It will smear and make quite the mess of your finish. I use 303 as an INTERIOR dressing as it does NOT hold up well against the elements on the exterior.

 

Really? I use to all the time on my stripes and exterior black plastic and it works good for me, seems to last too as it keeps the water beading on the stripes (I don't wax them at all) I haven't used it for interior at all, so I can't say on that, but I'll try it sometime. I use Armor All's satin finish on the interior as I don't like that shiny greasy look.

Also from reading there website most people use it outdoors, unless it's a different version you are talking about as I know they have several products, people even it use it on drive belts for motorcycles.

 

I have used it on the exterior plastics and it makes the water roll right off the plastic. When they say naked or unfinished leather, they mean suede or chamois like finish, because i read about using it on the leather a while back. Its perfectly fine to use on the leather.

Its good stuff imo. Last longer than other stuff, and does not give the greasy feel.
I don't like the interior plastics to shine like its got afro sheen as it seems to get reflected in the windows on sunny days.
Great for the black trim, mirrors and tires too.

 

we have been using 303 on out boat seats (exterior) for a couple months so far and it seems to work nicely. We just recovered out seats with new vinyl so its to early to tell if it helps that much though

 

Don't get me wrong. You can use it on exteriors but it doesn't have great durability. Especially, here in the northeast with our brutal winters.
