Default Tire pressure warning light

For some reason my tire pressure warning light is coming on about every other time I start up my car. Since my stuff hasn't arrived from the states yet I have way to check tire pressure and all that jazz but they look fine to me. Is it something to really worry about? I have an appointment for an oil change here on post in about a week (it takes about 2 weeks to get an appointment) so if its not a big deal then I may just wait and have him take a look at it.

Tire pressure gauges are cheap. Pick one up.

change your rims recently? put on new TPMS? if not, thats your problem. you could install TPMS or just press reset on the dash, thats what i do.

It could be 5-6 lbs low or high to make the light come on. Most people cannot look at a tire and tell if its 6 lbs too low. If they look good, just wait until oil change, but if one looks slightly low, that could be it, add some air, and have it checked when you get the oil changed.

The spare tire does not come with a sensor, it will not cause the light to come on.

x2 on not trusting the AAFES idiots

check your air pressure. I just bought my Bullitt and it was fine when the tires were cold. Once they warmed up after driving though, I'd get that retarded TPMS light.

My tires ended up being 24, 26, 26, 26 PSI. I aired them all up to 32.5 psi and it's all happy now.

Oh trust me, I wish I had another choice. There are two ford dealerships here but their off post, I don't speak Italian, they won't uphold warranties and apparently they don't know how to work on American cars.

Nitrogen, ftw!
I never was a believer, but it does actually prevent a lot of tpms warnings.
Free at my work, I use it. but would refuse to pay for it.

No TPMS sensor in the spare.

Nitrogen equals snake oil.
Its the main component in the substance you are
drawing into and expelling from your lungs....
My air compressor compresses the same air and my dessicant dryer
removes the moisture and its free minus the electricity used to compress it....
