Love / Hate relationship with your car?
#21
I felt the exact same way...until I realized how much effing fun EVERY single drive is.
Do I make useless complete 50 mile loops on the interstate when I'm bored? Yes.
Do I seek out the most mundane excuses to go for a drive in my car? Yes.
Do I go 100 miles out of my way to pick up groceries? Yes.
Did I join a Mustang club that forces me to drive 90+ minutes to every event or meet...sometimes enduring 3-4 hour drives on a bi/tri-monthly basis? Yes.
Does the feeling behind the wheel bring me as close to complete bliss as is possible on this sick, sad planet? Yes.
Drive the effing car. Otherwise, what the frickin hell is the point? I GUARANTEE you that the joyous feelings behind the wheel will FAR outweigh the anxiety you might face as you put miles on the car. Be vain, show off, drive for hours without a destination, let the pony roam free.
just my two hundredths of a dollar.

Honestly, I keep racking up the miles for many of the same reasons. It's getting ridiculous, but I can't help it. Now that I have this car, whenever I drive other people's cars it just seems like I'm along for the ride; there's just NO fun in driving them!
It's definitely a love/hate relationship, though. The last car was more of a hate relationship, but thankfully this one seems to be tilting the other way.

[QUOTE=NJ09GT;6356325]Bought my car April 24, I was on a deck that collapsed early May - shattered both heels, been bed-ridden/wheel chair ridden since. Minimum 12 weeks NO weight baring. So in another two weeks I'm there at 12 weeks, and will be up weight bearing. But I only drove my car for 3 weeks - I MISS IT!![/QUOTE
Sorry to hear that. Hang in there.
