Steering wheel shimmy at 60MPH and clutch pedal squeak
So I picked my car up on Friday night after it being in the shop for the second time for the same two issues, this time for 4 days. First issue was steering wheel shimmy at 60mph...first time in the shop road force balanced the two front tires...didn't fix the issue. Second time in the shop they replaced all 4 tires and all 4 wheels. The shimmy is better but still there. The second issue is a clutch pedal squeak when you press down. First time in shop they couldn't replicate the issue. Seond time in the shop they replace the clutch cylinder...still did not fix the issue. Car is going back in for the 3rd time for the same 2 issues. Car has less than 1000 miles on it

I dropped my car off last night, spoke with the Shop Forman, Service Manager and my Service Advisor. There is a Ford Engineer coming in today to look at the vehicle. I also spoke with Ford Customer Relations (thanks dominant1) and they are working the issue as well. I told them, the clutch pedal shouldnt squeal like that and the steering wheel shouldnt shimmy back and forth at 60, it should drive the same at 30 as it does at 60 as it does at 80. They already put 4 new wheels and 4 new tires but that didnt fix the issue. The shop forman told me I need to drive 300-500 miles on the new tires and then see if it still shimmies; is this accurate? Why would that matter? If they are new tires they should be fine...

They told me the same thing for the tires on the Impala. What happened was the tires I had were what the shop foreman called "Warehouse Queens". They have sat around and with the temp variations in the warehouse may have changed shape some and that driving them for a few hundred miles would fix them.....it didn't
