Well first off im 18, like that has anything to do with this. Secondly, i never said that i couldn't get the car sideways. Its extremely easy when the tires are cold but when they warm up (which doesnt take long) they get extremely tacky. I'm only looking to make my car more fun to drive. I would also greatly appreciate it if you did not unnecesarily patronize me in the future.

 

get a cai and tune and you will be good to go then get 4.10 gears and thats all you will do is spin the tires or go sideways

 

That has alot to do with it, I'm sure your parents would be thrilled to know you are posing these questions regarding the $30,000, 300hp car they bought you.

Where do you plan on getting this thing sideways by the way? A closed course?

 

I have never attempted to do this in any of the cars I have driven, but I'm guessing that since an e-brake is a cable operated brake by use of your arm, and not a hydraulic brake pressed with your foot, it would be very difficult to do. In addition, my brake from the factory was set up loose, meaning I had to pull alot to get the brake to hold the car. I know using the e-brake is a technique drifters use to slide their cars around. There might be websites and groups out there that instruct drifting techniques, but I highly suggest you do this in a controlled setting. I'm sure there are amateur drifting groups you can join and do this in a safe environment.

If you really want to learn how to use the e-brake to help bring the back end into a drift, I strongly recommend a driving school that specializes in drifting.

18 years old and wants to go sideways needs to AUTOCROSS, like me.
You can do whatever the hell you want (as long as you follow the course and don't hit people) and you don't have to worry about wrecking your car or killing yourself or others. You learn the limits of your car safely & legally and you can get all of the teenage testosterone driving out of your system. This will allow you to drive like a normal, civilized adult on the street.

BTW, The e-brake is not the way to get a Mustang GT sideways. Just accelerate (keep the revs up), jerk the wheel left or right and punch the accelerator. Once you're sideways, you'll want to let out of the gas some and just kind of work it to keep it from spinning out. This process can't really be explained with words... You just have to do it. It will take practice, so go to an autocross and test it out around a sweeping corner... or at least an empty parking lot. DO NOT do this on the street. The car can get away from you so easy if you don't know what you're doing.
